What began six years ago as a way to recognize the outstanding achievements of our alumni has now become a well-established and cherished tradition. 🦁🏆
On Thursday, October 29, the Columbia Alumni Association of Chile held the sixth edition of its Outstanding Columbia Alumnus of the Year Award, honoring renowned economist and academic Andrés Velasco for his distinguished professional career and remarkable contributions to Chile’s public life. 👏👏👏
As highlighted during the award presentation, Andrés Velasco, who earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University, has made an enduring impact not only by educating and inspiring generations of future leaders, but also through his significant contributions to public service, particularly during his tenure as Chile’s Minister of Finance.
We celebrated in the way we enjoy most: gathering once again at Bottega Gandolini, reconnecting as an alumni community, engaging in meaningful conversations, and enjoying the excellent food and welcoming atmosphere of this wonderful restaurant. 🍕🍷🤝
